The youth committee of EUNET is looking for partners from the member organizations within EUNET to start a project on this topic already this year. The project will start off the intergenerational discussion by investigating what the dialogue looks like in countries of the partner organizations and then spread this knowledge over Europe in a creative way.
Project idea
The project aims to create a photo exhibition expressing what the intergenerational dialogue looks like in European countries. This exhibition is thought to be presented for the first time at the General Assembly of EUNET in Metz October 2011 and then be sent to those member organizations that would like to use it. It will consist of a portfolio of photos and descriptive texts. The exhibition will in addition be available on the internet and could be printed by the organizations themselves, if they do not want to wait for it to be sent by traditional post.

What is expected from the partners of this project?
Until the 29th of April the youth committee would like to know which member organizations would like to participate in this photo exhibition project. During the period 1st of May to the 10th of September the partners have to obtain three photos that express the intergenerational dialogue in the country they are active in. The partners also have to produce a small text after a provided template, which describes the demographic situation in the country. These three pictures and the text about the demographic situation will then be sent to the youth committee that will print them out and put together the exhibition.

It is up to the partners on how to get these photos, but the idea is to integrate more people than the actual persons working within these organizations, so that as many as possible can be included in the discussion about the intergenerational issue. One way to proceed is to announce a competition in which the best pictures will be awarded. The actual process of getting the photos is also a part of the project, since it will make the photographers aware of what the intergenerational dialogue can look like in their country.
